I’m sharing this because Donna and I met on Facebook two years ago and just met face to face about 3 weeks ago. Donna drove 85 miles just to meet me for lunch! She is the mother of 6 children and she home schools all of them! Her youngest 5 are still at home (ages 3 to 14) wile the oldest is now in nursing school.
Donna and I click because we both have a passionate desire to help our “tribes” in similar ways. Donna has developed an amazing home schooling system that works brilliantly for parents who want to take this on-but it’s not in the way you’d typically think of home schooling. She will have her own radio show starting in January on the largest internet radio station in the USA on guess what? Home Schooling. My point about telling you about my meeting Donna is that even though I personally have no children a lot of my tribe does. And we are definitely collaborating to see what we can come up with to work together in 2011.
We are in a new age of cooperation and collaboration. We will all get much further in our businesses by partnering with others. The old model of not working with your competition is dying quickly. I’m sharing this because I want you to think about how you can collaborate and work with other complimentary businesses so it’s a win-win for everyone.
I am in the middle of collaborating with some awesome people so I can bring you some really cool resources in 2011-Watch out for something big in February 2011. What I’m launching is totally based on collaborating with top minds in the business and I will set it up so it’s a win-win for everyone.

I am really excited and grateful to be spending my 1st Thanksgiving back in Dallas with my parents and friends and other family.
Me and my new Nissan Rogue. I am really loving it.
It was hard being away in South Africa on certain holidays and Thanksgiving ranked right up there with Christmas. I know you have much you are thankful for as well. It’s a blessing when we can be grateful for all we’ve been given—whether it be our families, children, colleagues and of course, our clients and customers.
I am particularly grateful and thankful to God for orchestrating an amazing move for me back to my home country and childhood city. I can’t believe how much I’m really liking Dallas. It’s a real blessing to feel this way. I’m grateful that my condo is 2-3 weeks away from completion. I’m grateful I was blessed to purchase a fun new Nissan Rogue. And I’m especially thankful that all my money has transferred from South Africa to the US and I was able to pay my Dad back the cash he spent to secure my condo and to get the renovations going and to even buy my car. I’ve paid him back 100% for all of it and that is a huge blessing. I think he was worried there for a while I wouldn’t pay him back! LOL! And I did! Yay!
I’m grateful for all of you—my tribe of amazing, high-achieving entrepreneurs who always want to grow to new heights in their business and personal relationships. I am blessed to attract amazing women and men who aren’t satisfied with mediocrity and they do want to be in the top or near the top of their field. And my clients implement what I teach them. They are go-getters. Real Doers. And I LOVE them all and you!

I am honored and humbled this week because of all the loving and kind emails I am receiving from several of my South African Clients and Friends of this newsletter. They are all wishing me well in my new/old home country. I’m still adjusting but am almost surprised to say it does feel like home. I am really amazed at how comfortable I feel here even though I haven’t lived here in 17 years. I’m sure it points to the fact that my intuition was right for me to come back to my home country. For Now! Lesson: Listen to your intuition!
I’m doing my best to be FLEXIBLE and work from my parents dining room (I’ve got great high speed internet through networking to my Dad’s computer) which is a great. Learning to be flexible is a great lesson for me right now. It may be one for you, too. You want to watch out for getting too set in your ways as you age. Change and flexibility are good for the body, mind and soul so see where you are rigid in your life right now and work to let whatever rigid beliefs or thoughts you have go. I promise you you’ll feel so much better!
I’m busy preparing for my VIP day with my amazing mentor, Maria Gamb, in New York City to flesh out a very important system I’ll be sharing with you in the beginning of the year.

Here’s my wonderfully gorgeous view from my new 15th floor condo in Dallas, Texas. I’m not living in it yet as I’m renovating it completely. It will be a wonderful oasis for me when it’s complete sometime in the next 4-5 weeks. I miss my Indian Ocean view for sure, but this one will work just fine for me in Dallas.
You haven’t heard much from me because it’s been a really BIG undertaking for me to move continents. I’m living temporarily in my childhood home with my parents (I’m very fortunate they are opening their home to me again!) and driving a rental car so things are a bit topsy turvy for the moment.
It’s been a period of where I’m learning to let go, relax and not be so hard on myself that I am not running 100% just yet in the USA. I share this with you because so many times for us women, in particular, we are very hard on ourselves for either not getting everything done or not doing everything perfectly. So many times we forget that God/Spirit/The Universe is always looking out for us and always taking care of us. It’s just up to us to TRUST Him and the path He has for us is the perfect one for us at this time.
I’m really excited about mentoring 6-7 Brilliant, High-Achieving Entrepreneurs from January-June 2011 in my newly revised Brilliant Success Private Platinum Program. There is no doubt by working with a strong mentor you can get where you want in your business much faster. I personally mentor with a very strong woman in New York City, Maria Gamb. In other news……………….I have only 13 days till I board the plane for Dallas via Jo’burg and London. Everything is getting done but time is quickly running out. In the midst of this I’ve been very honored to receive requests from a few of my South African clients who still want to mentor with me after I leave–even at my US Dollar fees.
I’ll be announcing some new programs once I get settled at my parents home in Dallas (while I wait for my container and my condo to be renovated for 2 months). Time’s flying as we’re heading into spring down here in the Southern Hemisphere. I can’t believe I’m only 20 days away from getting on the plane to make the final journey home back to Dallas, Texas, USA. My home sold (AGAIN!) and it’s a real deal this time so thank you for your prayers, love and holding such positive energy for me.
I’ve purchased my new condo in Dallas and renovations on it are starting next week so that is a project that will keep me busy for October and November as well as making connections and starting to speak in Dallas and other cities in the US.
The amazing high-achieving entrepreneurs who have been down to see me for VIP Mentorship days on the South Coast have been absolutely amazing. I’ll be posting pics of these lovely ladies today and over the next few weeks. A common thread I saw amongst all of them is that is they aren’t charging what they’re worth. Trust me, after a day with me they all understand their worth and they have the confidence to immediately begin charging more. I hope you’ll enjoy today’s article as it addresses this very subject.
When you receive this I will have 40 days before I move back to the US in Dallas, Texas. My feelings are quite mixed as I’ve lived on the South Coast of South Africa for over 6 years now and have wonderful friends and clients here. Unfortunately I don’t have any family here so it’s time for me to move back across the oceans! I’ve been very, very busy presenting seminars, workshops, mentoring my Private Platinum Clients and my Brilliant Success Mastermind South Coast ladies and leading private VIP Mentorship Day sessions at my house with select VIP clients.
Whew! With that all going on I’ve barely been able to breathe and the movers are coming September 29th and 30th to pack me up so I’ve got to get cracking. Please pray and visualize my house selling SOON as the people who signed the contract to purchase my home originally have gone back on their word. They are violating the terms of the agreement by not moving forward with the deal. I am praying the right buyers who will act with integrity and be good on their word (and signature!) and will love my house will show up very soon! Please hold the same intention for me if you can. I’d really appreciate it.

I’ve been busy with my returning from my Serengeti Safari and Zanzibar trip last Monday. It was a great experience—one I’ll never forget that’s for sure. And now I’m back into speaking, mentoring and writing. I was the guest speaker last week for Durban, South Africa’s KZN Women in Business chapter and I had the best time I’ve ever had speaking in my life. You haven’t heard from me in 2 weeks because I got very busy in July and then getting ready for my “Last Hurrah in Africa Trip” in the Serengeti and then on to the lovely Island of Zanzibar. I went alone although I would have preferred company for sure. It was a good exercise in learning to REALLY enjoy my own company–which is critical for all of us, you know? If we don’t love ourselves how can we love others?
I fulfilled my dream of seeing the Serengeti before I leave the wonderful, magical, and mesmerizing Continent of Africa. I don’t know how to explain it except that Africa DOES get into your Soul in an inexplicable way. If you’ve seen Blood Diamond and Leo DiCaprio’s character dying at the end clutching a red ball of African Soil you’ll really understand it.
I want to ask you a few questions regarding not receiving 2 newsletters from me: Did you miss them? Do you look forward to receiving them weekly? Would you prefer them bi-weekly? I recently read where it’s best to be kind of random with sending newsletters out so your readers will be more interested in reading them when they get them. There are several schools of thoughts out on this. I plan on staying weekly except for the rare, occasional lapse when I just couldn’t get it out.
I’m recycling an article in this issue, and it’s a relevant issue that will pertain to you if you
are deciding between launching a website first or an e-zine of some sort. Now if you can do both at the SAME time then by all means that is first prize…..You do it. If finances are a cramp for you read on to see what I recommend.

The World Cup is over here in South Africa and it’s a bit of a let-down after the past month of hosting the top soccer (football!) teams of the world. I moved to South Africa 6 years ago right after they won the bid to host World Cup. I must say I was a bit sceptical myself about the country being able to pull it off. I’m thrilled to say I was WRONG. We hosted an amazing event with little incident. It’s always good when progress is made in any area in the world. It affects all of us positively.
If you follow me on Facebook or Twitter you’ll see plenty of posts regarding my upcoming move back to America. I’ve started a countdown to the day I leave South Africa so check it out if you want to see what’s going on. I’m going to try to tie in some business, marketing and life lessons in there as well to make it more interesting so let me know what you think.
Are you using Facebook for business and to make connections? If you’re not you need to highly consider it. More than 1.5 million pieces of content are shared on Facebook daily! It’s not a fad. It’s not going away. It along with all the other main Social Media platforms is only going to continue to grow.
I connected with a Vice President I worked under at USA TODAY back when I sold National Advertising for the paper through Facebook this week. And she wrote me an amazing testimonial (unsolicited) about my work there. I’m sharing it with you because it means a lot to me. Carolyn Bivens most recent position was the Commissioner of the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) and now she’s on the Board of Governors with Children’s Miracle Network.
